Jenna Green, of Somerset, has been selected to participate in the Nationals 2008 Miss Teen Minneapolis/St. Paul pageant competition that will take place on Aug. 17.

She submitted her application and took part in an interview session. She was notified of her acceptance in the Miss Teen division last week. She will compete in modeling routines, which include formal and casual wear, as well as displaying her personality and interviewing skills with the judging panel.

If Green were to win the title, she would represent Minneapolis/St. Paul and the surrounding communities in the Cities of America National Competition that will take place in Orlando, Fla. Over $60,000 in prizes and awards will be presented at the National Competition while each winner gets an expense-paid trip of five nights and six days in Orlando.

Green has been securing sponsorships to help defray the cost of the pageant. Through sponsorship, she will receive all the necessary training, rehearsals and financial support.

Any business, organization or private individual who may be interested in becoming a sponsor to Green may contact her pageant coordinator, Patty Neidert, at 1-800-569-2487.
