Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, posted 7/7/2008, the Star Prairie Village Board met on 7/8/2008 at 7:05 p.m. in the Community Center. The meeting was called to order by Trustee Bruce A. Johnson. Roll call. Members Present: Trustees Mick Maxon, Bruce Johnson, Rob Berger, Andrew Marrier. Absent: Greg Gibson. President Greg Gibson arrived at 7:10 p.m. Also present attorney Tim Scott. Trustee Marrier moved to adopt the agenda as presented seconded by Trustee Berger. Motion carried. Trustee Marrier moved to approve the minutes of June 4, 2008 as presented seconded by Trustee Berger. Motion carried. Trustee Marrier moved to approve the May 2008 Treasurer's Report seconded by Trustee Berger. Motion carried. Trustee Maxon moved to approve the disbursements ($38,166.21) as presented seconded by Trustee Marrier. Roll call vote, all members voted yes. Motion carried.

REPORTS

Police – Chief Richard submitted the June 2008 Police Activity report (on file).

Maintenance – Brody Larson presented the June 2008 Maintenance report (on file).

Park Committee – no report

Building and Zoning – no report

Public Works Committee – no report

Special All-Terrain Vehicles Committee – no report

NEW BUSINESS

Bank Services Proposal

Following the discussion Trustee Berger volunteered to contact AnchorBank to discuss what they have to offer and report back to the Board. Trustee Johnson moved to table the bank services proposal from First National Bank until we have a chance to approach AnchorBank and discuss what they have to offer seconded by Trustee Maxon. Roll call vote, all members voted yes. Motion carried. The bank services proposal will be placed on next months agenda.

Insurance Claim for Hail Damage to Village Buildings

Trustee Maxon moved to publish a request for bids notice in the New Richmond News for storm damage for the following buildings and structures; Village Ballpark, Ballpark storage/bingo building, River Island Park, Star Prairie Post Office, Star Prairie Community Center, Village Shop and Well House seconded by Trustee Berger. Roll call vote, all members voted yes. Motion carried.

Public Comment

Tom Gibson, representing the Star Prairie Lions Club asked if the Ballpark shelter roof rattle noise could be fixed by the Ox Cart Days celebration in August. The consensus of the Board is to wait until a decision is made about the storm damage.

Adjournment

Trustee Johnson moved to adjourn the meeting seconded by Trustee Maxon. Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 7:31 p.m.
