New Richmond hit-and-run sends one to hospital

An early-morning, hit-and-run accident near Wal-Mart in New Richmond sent a motorcyclist to the hospital Thursday (Aug. 14).

An early-morning, hit-and-run accident near Wal-Mart in New Richmond sent a motorcyclist to the hospital Thursday (Aug. 14).

New Richmond Police were dispatched to the scene of a motorcycle vs. car accident at Richmond Way and Sequoia Lane at around 4:20 a.m.

When they arrived on the scene, only the motorcycle and its driver were there. The 27-year-old New Richmond man was transported to Westfields Hospital with an apparent leg injury.

Police worked with the St. Croix County Sheriff's Department to track down the other vehicle, which was stopped along County Road A between Boardman and Burkhardt.

Natalie N. Brunelle, 21, New Richmond, was arrested and charged with injury by intoxicated use of a vehicle. Additional charges are pending.
