A northwest Wisconsin high school is mourning the death of a football player in a gun accident.

Brady Kowalski, 15, of Tony in Rusk County died last Saturday.
Reports said he was about to go hunting with his father when he grabbed a loaded shotgun from the family cabinet and it accidentally went off.
Brady played junior-varsity football at Flambeau High School in Tony, where both of his parents work.
Counselors were on hand Monday to help students with their grief.
Monday night’s J-V football game at Birchwood-Weyerhaeuser was called off.
