Letter: What’s with the police car sirens?

To the Editor:

What is going on? The last time I checked, I live in New Richmond not the UK.

So why does one of the New Richmond police cars have a siren that sounds like we’re in downtown London? Not only is it obnoxious and annoying, but poor by-standers and other cars don’t even know what to do when they hear it coming down the road.

“Do I pull over?” “Is there something big about to happen?”

If the police department is testing out this siren, why wasn’t the public notified so at least people could respond properly?

I say pack it up and send it back to where you got it from -- hopefully taxpayers dollars weren’t wasted on that one.
