The Star Prairie Fish & Game Association’s annual Bucks Night Fundraiser is set for Monday, Nov. 17.
The event will be held at Ready Randy’s Sports Bar & Grill with social hour beginning at 5:30 p.m. and dinner served at 7:30 p.m.
Bucks Night is the major fund raising event for the SPF&GA and allows them to accomplish all the education and conservation related activities throughout the year.
The SPF&GA was named one of the top conservation oriented clubs in Wisconsin last year by the Wisconsin Conservation Congress.
Some of the group’s activities include their annual senior pontoon ride on Cedar Lake, fish crib construction on Cedar Lake and support of the Star Prairie Land Preservation Trust’s McMurtrie Preserve.
All funds generated at the Bucks Night Event are spent on local projects.
Seating is limited but there are still a few tickets available for Bucks Night. If interested in attending this event, contact Stu Nelson at 248-3829, Mike Kelly at 246-4109 or Chuck Magoon at 248-7341.
Formed back in 1991, the Star Prairie Fish & Game Association plays a very active role in providing educational, environmental and conservation related programs and projects to the area.
Their mission is “to provide, protect and restore environmentally important land and water areas for fish, game and wildlife that will create recreational and educational opportunities for all ages and abilities for future generations.”
