Early morning fatal crash near River Falls
A collision between the driver of an SUV and a Veolia environmental dump truck resulted in a fatality Wednesday just before 6 a.m. at the Paulson Road exit on Hwy. 35N.
A collision between the driver of an SUV and a Veolia environmental dump truck resulted in a fatality Wednesday just before 6 a.m. at the Paulson Road exit on Hwy. 35N. The State Patrol and River Falls police are investigating the accident and will release more information later.
River Falls Police Sgt. John Aubart, on the scene, said the driver of the SUV, a 30-year-old River Falls man, died on the way to the hospital. The SUV was southbound and the dump truck was crossing Hwy. 35 toward County Road U.
A portion of the highway was closed just shortly after the accident by State Patrol officials and was still closed as of 9 a.m.
