THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW RICHMOND DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

The following sections shall be repealed, recreated, and adopted into the City of New Richmond Code of Ordinances as follows:

Chapter 109 Environmental Control

Section 109-19 through 109-259

Article II Floodplain Zoning (A complete copy on file in the Clerk’s Office).

The new regulations are adopted into the City of New Richmond Code of Ordinances and are intended to protect life, health and property in floodplain areas and will govern uses permitted in mapped flood plains. Activities such as dredging, filling, excavating and construction of buildings are generally allowed, but may be restricted according to which flood zone the property is in.

The new ordinance hereby updates the City of New Richmond Floodplain Ordinance into compliance status with Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and FEMA requirements.
