Remember: Empty Bowls is this Thursday

Remember to attend the second annual Empty Bowls Project on Thursday at Somerset High School. The meal begins at 6:30 p.m.

The evening’s event is based around a fundraising rice dinner. Cost of the event is $10 for a hand-made ceramic bowl, which will be filled with a meal of rice.

A silent auction is planned as part of the night’s events. Many hand-crafted items have been donated for the auction and hand-crafted creations will be accepted up to the start of the dinner as auction items.

Empty Bowls is a fundraiser for Grace Place and Heifer International.

SHS students have created more than 150 bowls that will be sold as part of the meal. Shirts and canvas tote bags with the 2009 Empty Bowls logo will be available soon at the meal. Shirts will be selling for $10.
