Willow River Players will be presenting “American Idle: Murdering the Music” for two weekends beginning April 30.
The dinner theatre performances will be at Ready Randy’s south of New Richmond and feature a large cast from several surrounding communities.
“American Idle” is a comic parody of the popular talent show where the singer who blows the most gets decimated by the industry professionals. Ten talent-challenged contestants vie for the title of the next pop sensation, but victory is thwarted by death threats and accumulating dead bodies being hidden backstage.
Tickets are currently available. Performances will be at Ready Randy’s on the following dates: April 30, May 1-3, 7, 8 and 10.
For Sunday shows, dinner will begin at 4 p.m. For all other shows dinners will begin at 6 p.m. Ticket prices are $25 with the exception of Sunday, May 3. A light dinner is being served on May 3 for $20. There will be a cash bar available for all performances.
Reservations and pre-payments are required. You can purchase tickets online at www.willowriverplayers. org. Tickets may also be purchased at Sweet Greetings in downtown New Richmond or by calling 715-246-1028.
