Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College wants to help its students make the most of the future.

By offering more than 50 career options, WITC prepares its graduates for a future of employability.

Attend an open house at one of WITC’s four campuses to learn more about career-focused education.

WITC-New Richmond will host its open house Thursday, April 16, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Guests are invited to tour the campus, talk to an instructor, learn about financial aid and find out how easy it is to apply. While at the open house, be sure to check out the new and expanded offerings for fall 2009, including accounting, accounting assistant, marketing and IT-web programmer/analyst, which are now offered completely online.

In cooperation with Lakeshore Technical College, WITC has added a two-year associate degree Judicial Reporting program to its fall 2009 catalog. Employment opportunities are expected to be excellent as the demand for court reporting services will be spurred by the continuing need for accurate transcription of proceedings in court and pretrial depositions, as well the expanding need for broadcast captioning.

A new, one-year Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic program offers a combination of classroom/ITV lectures, practical skills labs, laboratory simulations and clinical experiences.

WITC also offers a variety of short-term certificates for learning new skills or upgrading existing skills.

New certificate offerings include Wisconsin Professional Inclusion Credential, which expands Early Childhood Educators’ knowledge in special education to help meet the needs of children and families. A Business Graphics certificate is also new this fall, as well as a Dietary Manager certificate.

WITC serves the educational and career needs of more than 28,000 residents of northwestern Wisconsin each year. With multiple campuses, WITC offers career-focused associate degree programs, technical diplomas, short-term certificates, customized training and a wide array of courses for personal or career enrichment. WITC is a member of Wisconsin Technical College System. For more information, call 800-243-WITC or visit www.witc.edu.
