The Rev. Andrew Nelson presided over the ceremony. A reception followed at the Milwaukee Athletic Club.
Alyssa is the daughter of Lee and Karen Elver of Middleton; John is the son of Jim and Judy Remington of New Richmond.
Alyssa received her bachelor’s degree in entomology from University of Wisconsin-Madison and her master’s in urban planning from UW-Milwaukee. She is employed by the City of Milwaukee as an economic development specialist.
John received his bachelor’s degree in English from UW-Madison and his law degree from Washington University in St. Louis. John is employed by Quarles & Brady LLP as an attorney in its commercial litigation group. John is a 1997 graduate of New Richmond High School.
Tracy Elver was the matron of honor; Tom Remington was the best man.
Alyssa’s attendants were Christine Remington (Dietsche), Rochelle Jacques, Jane Clark and Jennifer Pofahl. John’s attendants were Brian Remington, Ed Golding, Reif Chron and Brett Gjovik.
After a restful honeymoon on Campobello Island, New Brunswick, John and Alyssa are at home in Milwaukee where they reside with their dog, Nessie.
