Wisconsin will face a hungry Indiana football team in Bloomington Saturday.
Wisconsin will face a hungry Indiana football team in Bloomington tomorrow.
The Hoosiers need to win two of their final three games to become bowl-eligible. And they desperately hope to be stronger in the second half, after blowing a 25-point lead against Northwestern and a double-digit lead against Iowa the past two weeks.
Despite the losses, Hoosiers’ defensive end Jammie Kirlew says he and his fellow seniors have put the team in the right direction and going to a bowl game would be icing on the cake.
Indiana comes into the Badger game with a banged-up secondary, after corner and stand-out kick returner Ray Fisher had knee surgery this week.
The Hoosiers are 4-5 overall, but just 1-4 in the Big Ten.
Wisconsin’s win over Purdue last week put them in the AP top-25 for the first time this season at No. 24.
The Badgers are 3-2 in the league and 6-2 overall, and they have not lost to an unranked opponent all year.
Wisconsin has been the Hoosiers four straight times. The last win was a 55-20 blowout in Bloomington a year ago.
