A Wisconsin woman was killed and four from Redwood Falls were injured last night on icy roads near Morton.
REDWOOD FALLS – A Wisconsin woman was killed and four from Redwood Falls were injured last night on icy roads near Morton.
The two-vehicle accident happened at 7:30 p.m. on Highway 19 in Renville County.
According to the state patrol, Margaret Buckley, 60, of Eau Claire, Wis. died after the 2009 Toyota Camry she was driving spun out of control on snow-covered roads, crossed the center line and was then struck broadside by a truck.
Buckley was taken to the Redwood Falls Hospital, where she died.
The second vehicle, a 2002 GMC Sierra, was driven by Jon Pettis, 39, of Redwood Falls.
Pettis, along with passengers, Bobbie Jo Parker, 35, Lynn Panitzke, 36, and Jessica Barnes, 33, all of Redwood Falls, were taken to the Redwood Hospital and treated for minor injuries.
Morton is 110 miles west of Minneapolis.
