Margaret Keesler, 89

Margaret Louise Keesler, age 89, of New Richmond, and formerly of Okemos, Mich., died on Friday, Jan. 1, 2010, at the St. Croix Health Center in New Richmond.
Margaret was born the daughter of Fredrick and Margaret (Bradbeer) Leu on April 25, 1920, in Lansing, Mich. Margaret graduated from high school and attended business school. On June 22, 1941, she married Starr Keesler.
She loved to garden, cook, bake, and travel. She was involved in her church, and enjoyed the time with her family at Big Twin Lake and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Starr Keesler, and grandson, Derek Thomas.
She is survived by her children, Eric (Georgia) Keesler, Erin (Charles) Gunder, and Candace (Wayne) Thomas; grandchildren, Jason (Jamie Beth) Keesler, Ann-Marie Keesler Martin, James Keesler, Tom (Chelsa) Keesler, Vickie (Joe) Jeter, Nathan Keesler, Kristen (John) Hogan, Kelly (Jon) Kinder, Keith (Trishann) Gunder, Nicole (Ryan) Blaszczyk, and Linsey Thomas; great-grandchildren, Emily and Autumn Gunder, Carter Hogan, Lindsey and Ryan Martin, Mattie Jeter, Abigail, Brooke, and Claire Blaszczyk; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, at the First Baptist Church in New Richmond. Memorial visitation will also be held on Saturday from 10-11 a.m. at the church.
