Fishing tourney benefits Chamber

With clear skies and temperatures above zero degrees, Sunday was a beautiful day for ice fishing.

The Central St. Croix Area Chamber of Commerce held its first ice fishing tournament on Twin Lakes.

Between the adult and kids divisions, 78 people registered in the tournament. Cost was $10 per hole.

Jim Farmer won the adult division and $500 with his 16.08-pound, 13.25-inch fish caught at 11:26 a.m.

Rounding out the top 10 in the adult division were: Robie Edens, Tyler Welch, Jake Nyhagen, Joe Bower, Charles Kamm, Dave Refsnider, Kegan Drankwine, Pat Hook and Tim Halverson.

Jordan Nutt won the kids division with a 2-pound, 3-ounce, 6-inch fish. Alyssa Iverson and Brett Iverson were the other winners in the kids division.
