At a recent meeting of the Plumbing, Heating and Cooling Contractors Association/Master Plumbers Association-State of Wisconsin, President Jerry Kadow installed Carol DeYoung from Countryside Plumbing & Heating Inc. in New Richmond as District #10 director.

DeYoung replaces Rick Evenson, from Evenson Plumbing Inc. in Hudson.

The PHCC/MPA Wisconsin Association is an organization dedicated to educating, advocating and helping plumbing, heating and cooling contractors in Wisconsin succeed. Members are provided with representation on the Plumbing Advisory Code Council, Plumbers Council and Plumbing Apprenticeship Committee. Monitoring is provided for any potential changes in the license law that ensures consumers in Wisconsin get qualified and competent licensed plumbers and qualified heating and air conditioning technicians and installers.

As a member of the Board of Directors, DeYoung will have input on monitoring member development and benefits, pending and changing legislation and code updates, as well as scholarships, licensing and education.

DeYoung is the first woman to be appointed to this board of directors and was recommended because of her more than 25 years of dedication and support of the plumbing, heating and air conditioning industry both locally and across the state of Wisconsin.

She also serves on the Plumbing Apprenticeship Advisory Committee for the State of Wisconsin. DeYoung and her husband Jim have owned and operated Countryside Plumbing & Heating Inc. in New Richmond since purchasing the business in 1982.
