Garrett Cole Hanson, age 23, of New Richmond, died Saturday May 1, 2010, at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minn.
He was born April 19, 1987, in Jacksonville, Fla., to Kim and Robin (Langness) Hanson. Garrett graduated from New Richmond High School in 2006 and was working as an apprentice carpenter for Lunda Construction.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Garrett is survived by his parents, Kim and Robin Hanson of New Richmond; brother, Lonnie Hanson, and sister, Juan Hanson, both of New Richmond; maternal grandparents, Paul and Nancy Langness of Frederic; paternal grandfather, Larry Hanson (Kathy) of Star Prairie; paternal grandmother, Suzanne Peterson (Gary) of New Richmond; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 5, at First Lutheran Church in New Richmond. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 4, at Bakken-Young's Beebe Mortuary in New Richmond, and will continue one hour prior to the service at church Wednesday.
