Strong storm develops in northern St. Croix County

In a statement at 4:44 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, the service said thunderstorms are developing in the area four miles northeast of Somerset. The storm was moving northeast at 15 miles per hour.
Dime sized hail has been reported along witgh winds 40 miles per hour or more.
Locations near the path of the storm were New Richmond, Huntington, Star Prairie, Wanderoos, Deronda and Deer Park.
Rainfall in the amount of one to two inches are possible within an hour or less. This could cause runoff problems and ponding on roadways.
