Storms have ravaged St. Croix County all day today, Wednesday, July 14.
The National Weather service issued a tornado watch for St. Croix County today, effective until 4 p.m.
Around 11 a.m. storm damage occurred in the Hammond area. The damage was due to straight-line winds and possible tornado touchdown, which has not been confirmed.
In the afternoon, a severe thunderstorm warning was issued for St. Croix County, effective from 2:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. Locations included Roberts, River Falls, Ellsworth, Baldwin, Hammond and Hudson.
Wall clouds delivered pouring rain to the New Richmond area. Rotation was reported in the clouds and a police officer reported seeing a funnel cloud.
More storms are predicted through the night.
