ALERT: Tornado watch issued for St. Croix County
A tornado watch has been issued for St. Croix County and the surrounding area.

The watch will be in effect until p.m. for a number of Wisconsin counties, including Ashland, Barron, Bayfield, Burnett, Chippewa, Douglas, Dunn, Iron, Polk, Price, Rusk, Sawyer, St. Croix, Taylor and Washburn.
A tornado watch is issued when weather conditions are conducive for spawning tornados. Heat during the day will combine with an approaching cold front, which could trigger severe storms and possibly tornados.
