Chamber hosts its first annual golf outing

The Somerset Chamber of Commerce is taking a different approach to fundraising.

On Aug. 9, they are launching the first annual Somerset Chamber of Commerce Golf Outing at Bristol Ridge Golf Course. Registration is at noon with the start time at 1 p.m.

For chamber members, individuals are $70 and foursomes are $250. For non-chamber members, individuals are $80 and foursomes are $300.

The outing includes a sit-down dinner as well as raffles and door prizes. All proceeds will go to the Pea Soup Days 2011 entertainment fund.

“We are really excited to be able to see as many local businesses at the outing as possible,” said Ben Solheim, chamber board member. “This is a great opportunity to connect with other businesses in the area.”

The deadline to register is Monday, Aug. 2.
