The Town of Warren celebrated its 150th birthday with a big bash on Saturday.

A variety of events offered at the Town of Warren Park, including a fire department water battle, petting zoo, kids games, kickball games, Civil War re-enactors and military displays.

An impressive historical display about the Town of Warren was posted in the Town Hall.

Memorabilia like T-shirts, can cozies and toys was sold all day.

Since parking was so limited at the park, a trolley company was contracted to shuttle visitors from the Roberts Elementary School. The trip to the event grounds added to the day's festivities.

The Town of Warren became an official township the first Tuesday in April in 1860. The Village of Roberts was platted in 1875 but didn’t become an official town until 1945.
