The “next level” type of horticulture could be organic or conventional farming practices. It takes the best of both “next level” horticulture and proven core science of soil microbiology, soil agronomy and plant physiology to grow healthy foods. Producing healthy, nutrient dense plants requires the use of environmentally friendly fertilizer and practices to balance soil.
Future events include: “Spring Pots to Fall Decoration” by Dana Langness at Township Hall on Oct. 11, “Holiday Greenery Projects” on Nov. 8 and a holiday potluck party at the VFW in Somerset on Dec. 13.
The Buds Garden Club meets for garden lectures, tours and community beautification projects the second Monday of each month. Membership is $10 year. Call Ruth Steiner for information 715-247-2686.
