NR man wins managerial award

Greg Tellijohn, manager of the MacXprts Store in Hudson, has been selected as the “Manager of the Year” by the MacXprts Network Board of Directors.

MacXprts Chairman of the Board Duane N. Burghard was personally on hand Thursday, Sept. 30, to present Tellijohn with his award certificate. Apple’s regional executive for the territory, Ron Hongell, also attended the ceremony.

In making the announcement, Burghard noted that this is only the second time this award has been given to a manager in his or her first year in the job.

“A year ago, Greg took the incredibly bold and courageous step to join the MacXprts team. From day one, Greg not only showed the skill and talent you’d expect from someone with his decades of experience in the industry, but he also demonstrated enormous energy, enthusiasm and commitment to excellence,” he said.

Burghard also noted that Tellijohn guided the Hudson store to far better than projected growth and profitability ahead of schedule.

“In a rough economy, he dedicated incredible hours, ran a very tight ship and took great care of his customers,” Burghard said. “Greg is unique in our industry, an incredible and rare combination, possessing experience yet also the courage and willingness to step out of his comfort zone and try and do new things.”

The MacXprts Network was founded in 1994 to provide customers nationwide with a superior customer experience when buying Apple computers. The MacXprts Network is one of the largest Apple Computer dealers in the nation and is nationally headquartered in Columbia, Mo. MacXprts provides all things Apple in the communities they serve.
