Last Tuesday second and third grade students at St. Croix Elementary School entertained family and friends with music from “Mary Poppins” for their fall concert.

Students used props and musical instruments to add an extra element to the already “supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” concert.

Music teacher Jeanne Larson said the “Mary Poppins” songs fit well with students at the second and third grade age level.

“Students catch on to the songs very well and they seem to enjoy the words and melodies of the songs,” she said.

Larson said the students “showed a lot of energy and enthusiasm” and that it is “always great to see families support the music programs in our schools.”

The kindergarten and first grade students will have a holiday concert on Dec. 9.
