SSG Mannel awarded top recruiting honors
Staff Sgt. Joshua K. Mannel was honored Dec. 5 at the National Guard Director’s Strength Maintenance Awards Ceremony held in Orlando, Fla.
Staff Sgt. Joshua K. Mannel was honored Dec. 5 at the National Guard Director’s Strength Maintenance Awards Ceremony held in Orlando, Fla. The awardees were honored for exceptional Recruiting and Retention contributions as well as “Total Solder Concept” during the past year.
Mannel was the National Guard Rookie of the Year and Recruiting and Retention Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year for his respective state of Wisconsin. He was also selected as the Region 4 Recruiting and Retention NCO of the Year upon completion of the competition help in Detroit.
Each nominee competes against six other regional states and was recognized for making the greatest recruiting contribution to the Army National Guard within the State and Region. The winner of each region competed in Orlando for the National Guard Recruiter of the Year.
Currently, Mannel is a recruiter in New Richmond, where he resides with his wife, Megan, and their two children, Kambria and Kinleigh. He is a 1999 graduate of Neillsville High School. His parents are Jeff and Debbie Miller, of Neillsville, and Kevin and Shirl Mannel, of Susanville, Calif.
