WITC plans ribbon cutting event
To recognize its new addition and remodeled areas, the New Richmond campus of Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College will hold a ribbon-cutting and open house on its campus Thursday, Feb 3, from 4-6 p.m.
To recognize its new addition and remodeled areas, the New Richmond campus of Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College will hold a ribbon-cutting and open house on its campus Thursday, Feb 3, from 4-6 p.m. The ribbon-cutting event is set for 4:30 p.m.
Student project demos and tours are also featured. The public is invited.
The campus addition and remodel started last May, and included $1.5 million in new construction and $1.1 million in remodeling. Program areas now with more space are the welding program and the Motorcycle, Marine and Outdoor Power Products program. Both buildings on campus also experienced some remodeling to upgrade existing space.
Handling construction was Derrick Construction, New Richmond, which completed the project about two months ahead of schedule. That timeframe allowed the programs to move and get settled before the second semester began.
