This time around, the same five nuns return to Mt. Saint Helen’s school for a “thank you” program for their supporters. Hoping to duplicate their first success, they decide to stick with the variety show formula. However, a kink in their plans occurs when they must perform on the stage set for “The Mikado” which would be presented the following weekend by the Hoboken Music Society on that same stage.
The cast includes veteran WRP performers Gina Postma and Stephanie Lewis of New Richmond, Jameen Lauck of Stillwater, Minn., Jennifer Larsen of River Falls, and newcomer Kelly Olson of Osceola.
Mary Lucking, the River Falls resident who directed WRP’s comedy production of “Dearly Beloved” last fall, is back in the director’s seat. Sue Franchere of New Richmond, who also performed in “Dearly Beloved,” is taking charge as stage manager.
The shows on Friday and Saturday nights have the dinner set at 6 p.m with the performance starting at 7 p.m. Sunday matinees will serve dinner at 1 p.m and the show starting at 2 p.m. The production will take place at Ready Randy’s Banquet Facility located on Highway 35, just south of New Richmond.
Tickets are on sale now for $30, which includes the meal, show and dessert. All seats are reserved.
