Project nets 130 blankets for kids
The second annual “HUGS 4-U” was conducted at the Deer Park/Cylon Community Center on Saturday.

A crew of Deer Park area women helped out with the blanket project on Saturday. The group completed 130 blankets during the day.
The second annual “HUGS 4-U” was conducted at the Deer Park/Cylon Community Center on Saturday.
The ladies who attended ended up sewing 130 blankets that day. The blankets will be sent to the Children’s Hospitals of Minnesota.
Organizers said the project is aimed at helping put a smile on a sick child’s face.
Local donors helped make the project possible by purchasing the necessary fabric.
“Thanks again to everyone for all their wonderful support,” said organizer Deb Brantner.
