Cress, Walen are All-Dunn-St. Croix Conference boys hoops selections
Seniors Kyle Cress and Brad Walen have been honored with places on the 2011 Dunn-St. Croix Conference Boys Basketball Team.
Seniors Kyle Cress and Brad Walen have been honored with places on the 2011 Dunn-St. Croix Conference Boys Basketball Team.
Cress was a first team all-conference selection while Walen was an honorable mention choice.
Cress and Walen gave the Panthers an excellent inside-outside combination to build around.
Cress finished the season with 352 points while Walen scored 309 points, combining for nearly 60 percent of the team’s total points. They were also the team’s leading rebounders, with Cress totalling 163 rebounds and Walen finishing with 150.
Their scoring came from vastly different places on the court. Cress was one of the premier perimeter shooters in the conference. Walen made huge advancements this season to become a scoring threat in the post.
The Panthers’ team awards have been announced for the season. The awards include:
Most Valuable Player: Kyle Cress and Brad Walen
Coaches’ Award: Joe Poulin
Most Improved: D.J. Haas
Most Assists: Aaron Johnson (74)
Top Rebounder: Kyle Cress (163)
