Somerset Memorial Day services set
In its annual Memorial Day tradition, members of the Somerset American Legion will have a special ceremony on Monday, May 30.
In its annual Memorial Day tradition, members of the Somerset American Legion will have a special ceremony on Monday, May 30. St. Anne’s Church will host a special Mass, followed by a 9:45 a.m. ceremony in the St. Anne cemetery. The Honor Guard will march to the Apple River Bridge where wreaths will be placed in the water. The procession will move on to Vet’s Park, Hillside Cemetery and by 12:15 p.m., they will head to Emmanuel and Pioneer cemeteries, ending at Boardman Cemetery. In addition to the members and officers of the American Legion, the Sons of the American Legion and the Auxillary will also participate.
