Fire crews respond to Monette Ave. fire

The New Richmond Fire Department was called to a fire on Monette Avenue in New Richmond Friday afternoon.

The New Richmond Fire Department was called to a fire on Monette Avenue in New Richmond Friday afternoon.

Dispatch was notified of a fire in a townhome at around 1:30 p.m. When fire crews arrived, there were no flames but some smoke in the home.

Moments later, firefighters exited the home with burned bed matresses. They were placed in the front yard to soak in the rain.

New Richmond police officers and the New Richmond Ambulance Service were also dispatched to the scene.

No further information was available on the incident.
