Brittany M. Johnson, 22

Brittany M. Johnson, age 22, of Menomonie, Wis., passed away Saturday, July 16, 2011, at her home, with hospice, and surrounded by her family.

Brittany was born Oct. 10, 1988, in Stillwater, Minn., to Brent J. and Melline (Johnson) Wegner. She grew up in Somerset, Wis., attended Somerset School, and graduated from Boyceville High School in 2007. She also attended U.W. Stout for 2 years working towards a degree in psychology.

Brittany enjoyed working at the Renaissance Festival in Shakopee, Minn., for several years. She loved arts and crafts, hippos, and traveling, but most importantly, she loved playing with children.

Her positive attitude should be an inspiration to all. Brittany will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Brittany is survived by her grandparents Ronald Johnson and Barb Viellieux; her mother, Melline Wegner; her brother, Brent Wegner; and her boyfriend, Rory Martell. She is also survived by aunts Anita Caroon, Tammy Garcia, and Nikki Johnson; uncles Harold Johnson and Tom Raska; her second family, the Martells; special people close to her, Nevaeh, Uriah, Damion, and Natalile, along with many more beloved friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her uncle Shaun Johnson and aunt Wanita.

There will be a celebration of Brittany's life at 7 p.m. Friday, July 22, at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, with visitation from 4 p.m. until the time of the service.
