Fire Department responds to combine fire

The New Richmond Fire Department responded to a brief combine fire north of New Richmond along Highway 65 at about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5.

    New Richmond emergency personnel were called out to a combine fire Wednesday near the intersection of Highway 65 and 200th Avenue.

The New Richmond Fire Department responded to a brief combine fire north of New Richmond along Highway 65 at about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5.

A combine harvesting a field had apparently caught fire, but the blaze was extinguished quickly.

The New Richmond Area Ambulance and Star Prairie First Responders were also called out.

Area farmers have been warned that fire could be a real possibility due to the dry conditions in fields this fall.
