A Michigan semi- driver and her passenger have been indentified as the victims of a three-truck crash which occurred late Wednesday morning on I-94, about 20 miles south of Eau Claire.

Clara Lee-Ann Wonsowicz, 47, of Brighton, Mich., was the driver of a westbound Werner Transport semi that crossed the median and struck two other semi units traveling eastbound, the State Patrol said.

Both Wonsowicz and her 46-year-old passenger, Thomas John-Scott Brown from Ypsilanti, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Carolyn Sailor, a passenger in a eastbound Scott's Express semi being driven by her husband, Perry, of East Grand Forks, Minn., suffered minor injuries but was not transported. Her husband wasn't hurt.

Raphael Zander, of Rudolph, driver of the third semi registered to Nationwide Distributors, also suffered minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to a hospital in Osseo for treatment.

Assisting the Patrol at the scene were Osseo Fire and EMS, the Trempeleau County Sheriff's Department and Eau Claire County Highway Dept.

All eastbound traffic was rerouted onto county roads for nearly eight hours.

The crash remains under investigation.
