Derrick steps down from WITC Board of Directors
William (Bill) Derrick, Sr., recently attended his last board meeting as a member of the Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College Foundation, bringing to a close 15 years of participation.
William (Bill) Derrick, Sr., recently attended his last board meeting as a member of the Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College Foundation, bringing to a close 15 years of participation.
Also a member of the WITC Regional Foundation Committee for the New Richmond campus, Derrick received local recognition at the campus’ October meeting.
Derrick commented on how much the foundation had grown over his tenure. WITC’s Foundation raises funds for the biannual awarding of student scholarships, professional development grants for staff, the college ambassador program (which sends a WITC student to a state event), and the Distinguished Alumni program.
The New Richmond WITC regional committee includes area residents Helen Rosen, Mona Flanum, John Johnston and John (Bob) Pierson, as well as WITC’s Natalie Landgreen, Joe Huftel, Leslie Bleskachek and Craig Fowler. The college is in the process of determining who will succeed Derrick.
