Somerset's Ellie Vanasse selected for Team Wisconsin in volleyball tournament

Somerset senior Ellie Vanasse was one of 10 Wisconsin high school seniors to represent the state in the fourth annual Tri-State Volleyball All-Star Games this weekend in Rochester, Minn.

Somerset senior Ellie Vanasse was one of 10 Wisconsin high school seniors to represent the state in the fourth annual Tri-State Volleyball All-Star Games this weekend in Rochester, Minn.

Vanasse earned the honor after an outstanding season for the Spartans. She led Somerset to its first Middle Border Conference and she was named co-Most Valuable Player of the conference.

The tournament will be played at the Rochester CTC Performance Court. Doors open for spectators at 11 a.m.

Here is the schedule of matches:

11:30 a.m.: Team Iowa vs. Team Minnesota

12:40 p.m.: Team Wisconsin vs. Team Minnesota

1:50 p.m.: Team Wisconsin vs. Team Iowa

Vanasse will be joined on Team Wisconsin by Bailey Bednarek, Leah Jameson and Brooke Jacobson of Spring Valley; Jenna Pronschinske of Arcadia; Morgan Cebula of Stevens Point; Allison Roth and Fallon Voss of Wisconsin Heights; Angela Dedering of Neenah and Meghan Conley of West Bend West.

Admission to the tournament is $10 for adults and $5 for students.
