It’s a new year. Have you hopped on board the Vitality Initiative bandwagon yet?
This Friday is the deadline for the upcoming community-based challenge “Lose Weight in 8.” The program is one of the most exciting new programs tied in with New Richmond’s year-long effort to promote health and wellness.
So far, 17 teams have signed up to participate in the competition. At a cost of just $15 per person, more teams should really be signing up to take part. It’s a low-cost program with impressive tools for participants to use for the next couple months and for all of 2012.
JA Counter and HealthPartners stepped up to the plate to promote this fun activity. It would be nice to see a huge response from people in the community.
Some teams that have signed up aren’t too concerned about winning the contest, and the $1,000 prize that comes with it. Other teams are very serious about the head-to-head battle and are recruiting members who have the potential of losing a lot of weight.
Whatever your motivation, forming a team is a great first step toward better health in 2012. And by participating in the challenge, you’ll be part of a group of people who are trying to make New Richmond one of the healthiest places in the state and nation.
Whether you lose weight, or simply succeed in eating better or getting more exercise, being part of “Lose Weight in 8” is the perfect way to follow through on your New Year’s resolution.
Visit JA Counter’s website to sign up. Deadline is this Friday.
