Hunter education class offered in New Richmond

A Wisconsin Hunter Education class will kick off on Monday, Feb. 6, at 7 p.m.
Classes will be held at the National Guard Armory in New Richmond, 1245 Wall St. The classes will be from 7 to 9 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays through March 15. There will be no classes on Feb. 8, 13 and 16.
There will be one Saturday class on March 10 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Willow River Rod and Gun Club.
This class is required for anyone born after Jan. 1, 1973, who would like to hunt. Participants should be at least 12 years of age before Dec. 31, 2012.
Pre-registration is required. Students will be taken in the order of their registration and there is a 60-student limit. There is a $10 charge for the class.
All participants must have a Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources ID number before the start of the class. Call 1-888-936-7463 for information.
