City of New Richmond Notice of Public Hearing for a Redevlopment Plan

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR A

REDEVELOPMENT PLAN

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners of the Community Development Authority of New Richmond, Wisconsin (the "CDA"), will meet in the New Richmond Civic Center, 156 E. First Street, New Richmond, Wisconsin, at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, March 12, 2012, to hold a public hearing regarding the creation of a redevelopment plan within the City of New Richmond. The redevelopment plan includes designation of the parcel located at 428 S. Starr Avenue as a blighted area, which by reason of obsolescence, faulty layout or other conditions, substantially impairs or arrests the sound growth of the community.

The redevelopment plan includes allowance for expansion of the improvements currently on the site which is owned by the City and leased to New Richmond Area Centre, Ltd, through the use of redevelopment revenue bond financing for use as a fitness center and community facility.

At the time and place fixed for the public hearing, the CDA will give all persons who appear at the hearing an opportunity to express their views with respect to the redevelopment plan but the hearing is only for the purpose of assisting the CDA in making its determination and in submitting its report to the Common Council of the City. Written comments will be considered if submitted to the CDA on or before the date of the hearing.

Further information concerning the redevelopment plan may be obtained from the City Planning Department at City Hall between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
