SUV crashes into vet clinic

Employees, customers and pets were shook up this morning when an unidentified woman drove her Mercury Mountaineer into Countryside Veterinary Clinic in northern New Richmond.

Employees, customers and pets were shook up this morning when an unidentified woman drove her Mercury Mountaineer into Countryside Veterinary Clinic in northern New Richmond.

Reports of the crash came just before noon on Tuesday, March 13.

The vehicle jumped a large landscape rock before coming to rest inside the front of the building.

Early reports at the scene indicate the woman brought her pet to the clinic and accidently hit the gas instead of the break while parking. The scene was easily visible from North Knowles Avenue and several vehicles slowed to view the damage.

According to officers on scene, no one was injured in the crash; however, the female driver was transported by New Richmond Area Ambulance Service for a medical evaluation.

GTK Services was called to tow the vehicle away. It took about 30 minutes to remove the vehicle from the structure.

Also responding to the scene was the New Richmond Fire Department.
