NRMS hosts history fair

New Richmond students in kindergarten through eighth grade participated in the third annual History Fair held at the New Richmond Middle School gymnasium on Thursday, March 8.
Elementary projects were given feedback from high school students enrolled in the Advanced Placement History class. Middle School projects were judged by New Richmond teachers.
Middle School projects are eligible to move on to the regional competition at UW-Eau Claire on March 29. Each student received recognition for their efforts.
Winners from the middle school level:
* First place: Victoria Johnson - The Power of Prayer, Rasputin and the Romanovs
* Second place (tie): Jack O’Boyle and Jon Reuvers - Technology Through the Ages; and Kayla Harle and Hannah Burba - Apple, Inc.
* Third place (tie): Breelyn Karno and Emma Burns - The Revolution of Amasis; and Austin Haseleu - The Cuban Missile Crisis
* Honorable mention: Matisyn Post – Chernobyl

More than 140 students participated in the annual history fair and each student was able to choose his/her own topic.
