Gary Stephens, 65

Gary James Stephens, 65, of New Richmond, died peacefully Sunday morning, March 18, at his home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Immaculate Conception Church in New Richmond at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 21. Visitation will be held at Immaculate Conception in New Richmond from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, and 1 hour prior to the service at the church.

Gary, the son of Thomas and Margaret (Moore) Stephens was born Jan. 17, 1947, in Baldwin, Wis. He loved golf, fishing, horses and practical jokes. He was a devoted Catholic who loved his family and traveling.

He was an active father to his three children, supporting them in all aspects of their lives. He taught them work ethic, cooperation, respect, and the importance of balance in life. Gary was hard-working and took great pride in watching his family grow.

He is survived by his parents, Tom and Margaret Stephens; siblings, Tom Jr. (Chery), Ted (Gretchen), Diane (Joe) Jamieson, Dave (Karen) and Joe; his children, Aimee (Chris) Williquett, Sean (Danielle), and Shannon (Paul) Melzer; his beloved grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.
