Showcase Hammond set for Saturday

Residents in the Hammond area are invited to the third annual Showcase Hammond event this weekend.

This year’s Showcase is Saturday, March 24, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the St. Croix Central High School located at 1751 Broadway Street in Hammond.

Nearly 100 area businesses and non-profit organizations will be showcasing what they have to offer local residents. Businesses range from home contracting services to restaurants, photographers and home-based businesses. Some vendors will have items for sale, while others plan to showcase what their businesses offers.

After visiting at least 10 vendor booths, attendees of Showcase Hammond can register to win dozens of prizes donated by local businesses during hourly prize drawings, as well as grand prizes of either a new TV or a Kindle Fire. Lunch and snacks will also be available.

A Candidate Forum will be featured during the Showcase, including a question-and-answer session with the candidates for the Village of Hammond Board positions up for election in April. The forum will take place from 11 a.m. - noon, and all Hammond residents are encouraged to attend.

Showcase Hammond is free and everyone is invited to stop by and see what the Hammond area has to offer.
