The Badger Boy and Badger Girl’s camp consist of approximately 2,000 young men and women from every part of Wisconsin. Upon arrival at the college campus, the students will be grouped into cities and counties, which will form a 51st state. For eight days the citizens of the new state will form and carry out the main functions of state government using the basic laws of the State of Wisconsin.

This program is to teach young adults that the American form of government is stronger and more vital in today’s world struggles than ever before.

These camps are funded by the local American Legion Post 432 and it’s auxiliary.

The American Legion Post 432 will send Kyle Aaby to the boys’ camp and the American Legion Auxiliary will send Anna Hueg to the girls’ camp. Aaby is the son of Tom and Mary Aaby of Baldwin. Hueg is the daughter of John and Amy Hueg of Hammond.
