LETTER: Women’s rights need protection
What in the world has gone wrong with the Republican party? Do they really think so little of women that they want to take away our right to health care?
To the Editor:
What in the world has gone wrong with the Republican party? Do they really think so little of women that they want to take away our right to health care?
And how can they go on treating Rush Limbaugh as if he were an asset to their party. After his verbal attacks on the young woman from Georgetown University for expressing her views on reproductive health, as well as the view shared by nearly all women in the United States. Mr. Limbaugh and the network he works for should, at the very least, be sued for defamation of character, and Mr. Limbaugh should be fired and not allowed to spew his hate on our airwaves again.
The Republican party should publicly tell Mr. Limbaugh to take his hate somewhere else, unless they share his views, which after viewing the proposed legislation we’ve seen recently in many states and nationally, I’m afraid the Republican party wants to take away women’s rights and wants to do it while hiding behind freedom of religion. They should be ashamed of themselves.
I’m a mother of three daughters, and grandmother to three more girls. How dare the Republican party try to take away our rights.
