Petition seeks televised New Richmond School Board meetings

Voters in New Richmond are being asked to sign a petition prior to casting a vote on Tuesday.

Local resident Pam O'Reilly said she is seeking signatures from area residents in an effort to encourage the New Richmond School Board to broadcast its meetings live in cable TV.

She said other districts in the state run live feeds of their meetings on cable and it's time for the local district to do the same.

O'Reilly said she's been talking with cable TV officials about the possibility of a meeting broadcast.

O'Reilly will be gathering signatures at the southeast corner of the New Richmond Civic Center (near the entrance on Arch Street) beginning at 7 a.m. Tuesday.
