Coach Brad Childress says he doesn’t want to put Favre or any of his starters at risk of an injury so most will take a rest against the Cowboys.
Childress says he’s comfortable resting Favre, 39, saying he’s made enough progress in his first two-plus weeks with the team.
Favre completed 13 of 18 passes for 142 yards and a touchdown in a Vikings’ win at Houston on Monday night.
Childress says he wants to see his other three quarterbacks against the Cowboys – Sage Rosenfels, Tarvaris Jackson and John David Booty.
