Viking Coca-Cola Bottling Company donates to SCC School District
St. Croix Central High School was recently presented with a check for $971.17 from Viking Coca-Cola Bottling Company of River Falls.
St. Croix Central High School was recently presented with a check for $971.17 from Viking Coca-Cola Bottling Company of River Falls.
Viking Coca-Cola Bottling Company recently directed a portion of its sales of the products Powerade and Powerade Zero back to participating area high schools under a new program called “Powerade 4 U.”
Money was collected on all the Powerade products sold through Viking and then divided to high schools based on a percentage of purchased beverages.
Participating high schools included River Falls High School, Hudson High School, Ellsworth High School, Baldwin High School, New Richmond High School, Prescott High School, St. Croix High School, Elmwood High School, Spring Valley High School and Clayton High School.
The school will be using the money to help purchase more equipment for the athletics department.
Founded in 1953, Viking Coca-Cola is the ninth largest Coca-Cola bottler in the United States. Headquartered in St. Cloud, Minn., Viking Coca-Cola has eleven branches throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin and bottles and distributes Coca-Cola products to more than one-million people.
